This fiddle course, led by David Lombardi, composer and musician in the superband Fourth Moon, will focus on new techniques and a contemporary repertoire of Irish and Scottish music. Songs, techniques, phrasing and performance styles related to these two traditions will be taught, both of which, while holding firmly to their roots, have been able to mix and blend with other traditions and new genres. A minimum level of knowledge is required, not necessarily of traditional styles as much as of the instrument itself.
