Karamaus
Born in 2018, Karamaus is a balfolk band from Ancona. Their style, inspired by folk néo trad, reflects the different musical influences of the members, resulting in an original repertoire that embraces many nuances of world popular music. As the name chosen by the musicians suggests - a reworking of one of “mazurka” anagrams - the band re-elaborates dances from various traditions in an original way, ranging from Ireland to the Balkans, passing through southern Europe, with an eye also to the South America. Currently they’re working on their first album.
