Uncle Bard & The Dirty Bastards

Irish Folk Rock | Lombardy
August, 8th 04:00 am
Main Stage

Celtic rock enriched by traditional Irish music. Based in northern Italy and composed of young people who, in one way or another, have lived or spent too much time in Ireland.
With instruments such as Irish bagpipes, tenor banjo, mandolin and Irish flute, Uncle Bard & The Dirty Bastards offer a sound that no one else can reproduce: a unique combination of raw rock energy and authentic Irish tradition.
The first Italian band to play at the prestigious Dublin Irish Festival in Ohio, the most important Irish music festival in the United States, the Bastards have toured internationally with more than 1,000 concerts worldwide, performing at major festivals around the world, including alongside the iconic Dropkick Murphys, Flogging Molly and The Dubliners.
After their acclaimed album “The Men Beyond The Glasses” (2020), fifty minutes of original music condensed into twelve stories of victories and failures, they return with a new single entitled “Dead Souls”, which presents a completely renewed sound through indie rock influences with a southern flavour. The song, which explores the themes of redemption, resilience and challenge, is a bold step towards the band's yet-to-be-written future.

Guido Domingo: vocals, acoustic guitar
Lorenzo Testa: tenor banjo, mandolin
Luca Crespi: tin whistle, Irish flute, Irish bagpipes
