Talisk

TRADITIONAL IRISH & SCOTTISH - NEO TRAD | Scotland
August, 8th 00:45 am
Main Stage

With more than 15 million streams, 10,000 albums sold and sold-out concerts on five continents, from Glasgow to Tokyo, Paris to New York, Talisk are one of the most acclaimed bands in contemporary folk music.
Armed with concertina, violin and guitar, their sound is explosive, capable of multiplying the power of the three musicians in a spectacular way, with intense melodies and artfully woven songs, which have also won multiple awards at the prestigious BBC Alba Scots Trad Music Awards.
A continuous drive that transcends all boundaries - musically, technically, but also in the way they inhabit the stage, dominating it every time with tremendous energy, as in their most recent performances on the BBC One Hogmanay Show, where they reached over a million viewers, and live, captivating tens of thousands of people at the OVO Hydro Arena in Glasgow, or at the biggest festivals in Europe, North America and Australasia, including Glastonbury and, of course, Montelago, where they return to celebrate over 10 years of adrenaline-fuelled, modern folk music.

Mohsen Amini: voce, concertina
Benedict Morris: violino
