Gadan

Gadan is a recently formed project created by 4 experienced and well-known musicians in the Irish trad and European folk / rock scene, with years of experience in the major European and American festivals of traditional and cross-genre folk music. A compelling Irish repertoire with a powerful live appeal and a sound comparable to new-trad bands such as Talisk, The East Pointers, WeBanjo3, Rura, its unique identity is enriched through the experience acquired in other areas of folk, from the Appalachian & Old Time music to English and Scottish folk. Two banjos (tenor & clawhammer), fiddle, mandolin, bouzouki and guitar for a line-up of only strings, augmented by electronic inserts and a powerful rhythm section.
