Hailing from the Swiss Alps and deeply rooted in Celtic history, mythology and spirituality, Eluveitie – the Etruscan form of the Celtic (H)elvetios – are a cornerstone of the modern metal scene.
Founded in 2002, their debut album, ‘Vên’ (2004), laid the foundations for a unique blend of melodic death metal and traditional folk, a style consolidated in subsequent works in which the band also shows its more versatile and charismatic side, right up to the very recent ‘Ànv’, one of its most profound and sincere albums, a compendium of over 20 years of intense involvement in the Celtic-pagan world, skilfully recounted to modern generations.
With multiple studio albums, numerous worldwide tours and international headline concerts, Eluveitie continue to be an unstoppable dynamic force: in a music world often full of fleeting appearances and passing fads, they are an example of what it means to follow your own path with determination and always remain true to yourself.
