Ciac Boum is composed by three skilled musicians blending the traditional music of the French province of Poitou with the freedom of improvisation in melodies and rhythms. The energetic and creative style that animates their original compositions as well as their arrangements of ancient songs has made them a most popular balfolk trio in France and throughout Europe, gaining resonance even outside the old continent, especially since the release of “L'homme sans tête”, considered the best traditional music album of 2020 by the American web radio station Folk Alley. With a well-established reputation and constant appreciation within the folk scene, the trio launched their new project “Épourall” in 2024. The name chosen for the album is also the title of one of their songs, composed in the Poitevin Romance language. It tells the story of a scarecrow who tries in vain to fulfil his role in a countryside now oriented towards industry. It symbolises peasant poverty, decimated and despised by the world of entertainment and machines. This theme underpins the entire work, both in lyrics music, providing the perfect musical counterpoint to the singer's unique voice.

Julien Padovani: chromatic accordion, bass drum, backing vocals
Christian Pacher: violin, vocals
Alban Pacher: violin, backing vocals
