Folkstone was formed in late 2004 with a project that combines ancient instruments such as bagpipes, harp, flutes, bouzouki and hurdy-gurdy with a rock metal foundation. It is a powerful and unusual blend, reinforced by lyrics sung entirely in Italian: sophisticated and engaging songs that tell stories, express feelings, and address current and social issues. They are overwhelming on stage, where their punk soul also emerges, distinguishing the band's now epic expressiveness, matured through hundreds and hundreds of live performances in Italy and Europe. In 2023, after a few years' hiatus, Folkstone announced their long-awaited reunion as headliners of the Metalitalia Festival and, shortly afterwards, given the incredible and warm response from fans, they first released the new single “Macerie” and then the double album “Natura Morta” on 21 March 2025, featuring collaborations with Modena City Ramblers, Punkreas, Sadist and Daridel, followed by the Delirium Tour, which took the band to the most important festivals on the peninsula. A new beginning, promising thrills and moans, dedicated to all the stray hearts of another universe.
