Lou Tapage
The sound of a dance party: this is the translation of Lou Tapage from the Occitan language. They come from the Piedmontese Alps, just at the border between the Ligurian ports and the Provençal moors, with a folk rock always ready to explode.
A valley crew, with an impressive rhythm section which, between violin and bagpipes, accompanies the audience on a journey from De André's Italy - of which they rewrote “Storia di un impiegato” in Occitan in 2009 - to the melodies of the Irish cliffs, Scottish and Spanish lands.
In a very serious divertissement, they mix popular tradition with Italian-French songwriting, also experimenting with the use of different languages such as Italian, French, Occitan and Catalan.
After more than 20 years of performing at major Italian, French and Swiss festivals, collaborating with many international artists and sharing the stage with Hevia, their seventh album, “Novecento”, has been released by LT Records in 2023. Eleven tracks paying homage to the last century and reminding us all of the importance of having solid roots in an unstable world.
Sergio Pozzi: vocals, acoustic guitar
Chiara Cesano: violin, accordion, synthesizer
Marco Barbero: flute, bouzouki, bagpipes
Dario Littera: electric guitar
Nicolò Cavallo: bass
Daniele Caraglio: drums
