Medieval Archaeo-Cooking
Teacher Name: Caterina Molinaro
The first part of the workshop will take place in the form of a debate-lesson on the evolution of medieval cuisine from the time of its creation to the present day. We will then move on to the making and tasting of two different medieval recipes and a medieval drink, following historical cookbooks from the 13th and 14th centuries and other available sources. All will be performed with philological accurate equipment and cooking will be done on ground brazier as typical for medieval camp life. All raw materials will be provided by A.S.D. Aspidum Sagittas and participants will be given a small medieval cookbook.
